Firefox's free VPN Extension

Starting from Firefox version 149, a free VPN is integrated into the Firefox Web Browser. When the VPN was first introduced it was restricted to only a few geographical locations, like US, UK Germany, France, Canada and several Other markets excluding Hong Kong. But now  it is available to Hong Kong.

The VPN is designed for everyday browsing privacy, allowing you to mask your real IP address and encrypt browser traffic with a single toggle. However, it does not protect non-browser applications (like games, Torrent clients, or system apps).

In other words, it is not a full-system VPN. In other words, only traffic inside Firefox goes through the proxy. Other apps, system traffic, background downloads on your device are not protected.

Although the VPN is free, it has a Data limit of 50 GB per calendar month. Once used up, VPN protection pauses until next month’s reset.
